An honest question - if you are a family that puts out a public appeal for financial assistance in something like this - particularly the family of a famous person - does the media have to "respect the family's privacy? or feel they are intruding if they ask a few questions? The family is using their loved ones fame to gain access to the media, the media has the obligation to ensure the public isn't being duped.
