SNL's Continued Downward Spiral Thread

You find a lot of kids from money - famous parents or not - making it in show business because they had the ability to "make a living" doing $25 a set nights at the local comedy clubs honing their craft while the parents wrote checks to pay the rent and put food in their mouths. Actors too. It takes a lot of time with zero to low pay in showbiz to make it up the ranks and hopefully gain a foothold. The time commitment is probably worse than the crappy pay because it makes it difficult to hold down a decent job.

 

And this is pretty much how it goes in every creative industry now...especially and jarringly journalism. I acknowledge it's picking nits to not like Mulaney b/c of his silver spoon upbringing. It's just another reason to explain why I don't like him. (@Regan MacNeil can still fuck all the way off unless he wants to meet me at Penn Station and fight like a man with me and Sandy though)

 

You missed the guy who actually showed up to fight me a year or two ago. When I wasn't there (because I'm not a crazy person and live nowhere near New Jersey), he did a bunch of pull-ups and went home.

If the writers strike was good for nothing else, I’m thrilled that it may have indirectly led to BYH and Bubbler returning as semi-regulars at Jeers. Hoorah for boredom!
