See though ... I think what sane Republicans (and yes - they exist ...) don't want is to elect MAGA speaker, because they want to bluster about shutdowns, breaching the debt ceiling, and spending cuts, but they don't want to actually do those things.

 

Happy it's likely not going to be Gym Jordan. And hopefully the line holds at NOBODY who voted against certifying the 2020 election. That is a reasonable and justified red line to hold the gavel.

 

The mere comparison gives me a chill up my spine.
