The Phils are back. A World Series rematch would be fun.

Let's see if Taijuan Walker can finish a game.

Incidentally, Thomson admitted that Kimbrel won't be seeing late-innings work for a while.

His OBA is .343, so I get that. And he still scored 108 runs. And Tampa Bay trotted out slow-as-a-snail Yandy Diaz out there every game, as did the Marlins with Luis Arraez.

So the idea of needing a speedy leadoff batter to keep from clogging up the bases is obviously so 20th century.

"For a while" meaning for another team in 2024?

Well, if his career continues to that point ...

I know people rip Harper, but he just beat it down the line after hitting an infield chopper in the 8th that's an out 95 percent of the time. He can play for my team anytime.

Jonathan Papelbon just shot his TV and has no idea why.

One of the small things I love in baseball is when the catcher takes a tough one and the home plate ump takes an extra minute to give him a breather.

I think Papelbon was a red-ass, but Harper never did that again after that day, either.

I don’t know if they still do it with the pitch clock and limited mound visits, but I also liked it when the catcher would walk out to the mound and visit the pitcher or just take their time when the umpire would take a tough one and need an extra minute.

Ehh, Harper still has groundouts where he's so slow to first, the earth could swallow all the fielders whole and he still wouldn't get an infield hit,

How is Strahm's ball-in-hand pat of the glove not a balk when runners are on?
