Anaheim beat Carolina in the home opener of their 30th season and I thought the TV broadcaster said they were 29 and 1 all time in home openers.
    It’s actually 20-8-1-1, so he said 20, 9 and 1. It’s still impressive.

The Ducks also broke a 14-game losing streak, 13 at the end of last season and their opener on Saturday.

Big Freaking Deal. Much ado about nothing. I watched the whole game and never noticed it.

You can’t be serious to think this isn’t a big deal. The NHL is going backwards to a small percentage of bigots and a player is forcing their hand. Sure, big freaking deal.

The NHL hasn't handled this issue well. I think your assessment as it being a big deal is overstated as most fans aren't even aware of the issue, let alone would care.

I do think the league is mishandling it by not making this "no big deal" to them. I thought we were all past this a few years ago with the actions of Brian Burke and the positive reactions to them.

They will be if the NHL fines him.

Did the NHL fine the guys who wouldn't wear a Pride shirt during warmups?

Apples to Oranges. Players were told they could not use pride tape. Brian Burke has said he will pay any players fine. My guess is the league will back down because the PR hit will not be worth it.
