With these protests happening everywhere - including Tel Aviv - maybe worth asking how and why Israel is losing the battle for hearts and minds.

As I suggested upthread, some of it is surely generational. And antisemitism accounts for its usual share. But some of it has to be attributed to Israel's internal politics and conduct since the mid-90s. Is it entirely Netanyahu?

This latest round of university stuff especially - the letters and the marches in favor of Hamas, on behalf of Palestinians - feels new to me. Like a shift in the basic US / Israel accounting.

 

It feels like heel-on-heel violence. Not sure there’s a good side here.
