    In the 70s, we had a kid in our area kick a 52-yard field goal from a free kick. It was the longest FG in the area for a long time until somebody hit a conventional one from 57 or so, then a kid nailed a 60-yarder 4 or 5 years ago.

    It always amuses me how many people are floored when they see one of these: "WTF was that???"

    Killer comment on that clip ...

    @PFBM867
    That kick wouldn't have been good from 60 inches

    We had a game a couple weeks ago that ended up 54-35. It was scoreless after the 1st quarter. Winning team scored all its TDs on the ground, while the losing team scored on 4 TD passes and a kickoff return.
    This past Friday, a 1-6 team played at a 0-7 team. The 1-6 team won 80-22. A player for the winning team ran the ball 7 times and scored each time.

    We had a nearby kid run for 500 yards and nine touchdowns Friday night ... on 49 carries. I think he's going to Lock Haven to wrestle.

    The local website has 15 nominees for its Player of the Week fan voting. This kid is currently fourth.

    I did know not that rule also existed in high school ball.

    High school and NFL, but not in college. Which is a little weird.

    Summerall - well, I’m glad we knew the rule. Perfection, so understated.

    84-78 game last night.
    Team scores winning td on hook/ladder with :4 left.
    The ladder will be talked about for a long time.
    Very very close to going forward.

    Lateral.

    Hook. And. Lateral.

    The first guy runs a hook route. And then he Laterals the ball.

    There are no ladders involved.
