If Eric Adams is some sort of George Santos character, no one would be surprised.

 

Is it bad that I first read the headline as "Banana Slugs?"

 

If a Biden fan broke into Mike Johnson's house, lumbered around shouting "Where's Mikey? Where's Mikey?" and smashed his spouse's head open with a hammer, Republicans would be fine with Democrats mocking the whole thing and spreading creepy rumors about the two of them, right?

 

I don't know why the Ds don't hammer the Rs more on defunding the IRS - there is almost $700b in owed tax out there - and the Rs want to protect the tax cheats. I know the Rs are for low taxes and such, and they haven't been shy at giving safe haven to other miscreants, but tying the Israel aid to IRS staffing is absurd. The IRS literally pays for itself and how much more aid could be provided to Israel if the IRS wasn't understaffed?

 

Everyone hates the IRS, so that's a harder sell for the Dems.
