You didn't answer my question. Understand that I'm no fan of Netanyahu, either, but he didn't do what you said he did. He did not come out against humanitarian concerns. He said that Israel won't take the pressure off for even a moment until the hostages are released.

You say there has to be a better way. What is it? Keep in mind that Hamas is using those hostages as human shields. It is doing the same with every Palestinian who is not Hamas. The leaders of Hamas do not want a peaceful solution. They want Israel gone and its people dead. If they had the power, they would wipe the Israeli people off the face of the Earth. Given the opportunity, they will attack Israel again. Do you doubt that?

You say 98 percent of Gazans aren't involved with Hamas. Where did you get that number?

 

The quiet part being unsaid out loud here by Israel is that the hostages are expendable.

They'll do their damnedest to rescue them but there are no guarantees.

They aren't the ones in control of the hostages right now. Hamas is, and they are using them as human shields. It's funny how some folks just forget that one of the few things Hamas is honest about is its desire to see Israel destroyed.

There is a better way: Hamas releases the hostages, surrenders, dissolves as an entity and let the other 98 percent of Gazans negotiate a peaceful solution with Israel.
