In their defense, there's only two GOP purity tests which matter:

    - Unlimited support for guns
    - Unlimited support for Trump.

    That's it. That's the purity.

As weirdly creepy in its way as the Promise Ring exchange at the Daddy - Daughter Purity Dance.

That's one reason I don't put much stock in the current polls. People are angry about what is happening in Gaza, but at least some of them will stop and think and realize Trump would show far less concern for Palestinians.

Here is just one example of him saying Biden is the one running for president. The quote at the end is an even clearer comment about not running against Harris. Seriously, how have you not heard him say this?

Whether or not he would be as good at actually doing the job if he was to run and be elected is a matter of opinion.

Apparently within 10 minutes of being on the stand, the judge told Trump to cut out the speeches and answer the questions he is being asked.

You said Newsom not running in 2024 is foolish. You said he would be a better president than either of them.

    You aren’t backing it up.

Trump is the president who moved the Israeli embassy to Jerusalem. If that isn't the biggest possible fuck you to Palestinians, I don't know what is.

That's why I'm guessing the DNC is polling hard. Figure other interested parties are doing so as well. But the fact remains, Biden is a known quantity, people know who he is and what he has done - is it more likely people change their minds in the next 12 months, or that some other candidate (who isn't as known) might fare better than Biden? Someone who probably has a better chance of gaining support as more people get to know them.

Someone has to ask the White House, is the President concerned that Biden might hand the country to Trump 2.0 if he stays in. If not, why not?

WASHINGTON - David Axelrod, who served as a senior advisor to former President Barack Obama suggested that President Joe Biden may want to reconsider his reelection bid, as he potentially faces another race for the White House against former President Donald Trump.
Axelrod's comments came as The New York Times and Siena College published new polls on Sunday that found Trump led Biden in five of six key battleground states ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
Axelrold in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, cited the polls and wrote that “It's very late to change horses; a lot will happen in the next year that no one can predict & Biden's team says his resolve to run is firm.”
"Only @JoeBiden can make this decision," Axelrod added. "If he continues to run, he will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. What he needs to decide is whether that is wise; whether it's in HIS best interest or the country's?"
"Yes, there also is risk associated with changing course now, as there is little time left for a primary campaign--and campaigns are how we test candidates. (Re@RonDeSantis.) But there is a lot of leadership talent in the Democratic Party, poised to emerge," Axelrod added, referencing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' 2024 presidential bid.
