The term was used quite a bit - dating to the 1980s. The Club for Growth had a RINO Watch List in the early 2000s. It’s not a new thing. The GOP has forced all moderates out with a dozen purity tests each election cycle.

Trump says he had $2.5 billion in net worth to guarantee loans through Deutsche Bank

Assistant attorney general Kevin Wallace walked Donald Trump through a number of loan agreements between the Trump Organization and Deutsche Bank.

Wallace asked Trump to acknowledge his signature on the documents and to confirm that the loan documents included requirements of annual financial statements and a minimum net worth of $2.5 billion.

Trump personally guaranteed all the loans with Deutsche Bank's private wealth management group for these properties, which is why he was bound by liquidity and net worth requirements.

Wallace reviewed 2012 documents binding the Trump Organization’s loan for the Doral Golf Resort & Spa.

Trump confirmed he personally guaranteed the loan.

Just a reminder (with Trump on trial yet again) that a jury found him liable for sexually abusing a woman...then defaming her.

 

What if he’s senile?

 

Convict him, then deal with that.

 

The difference is that since 2016, RINO has come to mean "Disagreed with Trump" or "Got on Trump's bad side". It generally does not have much to do with policy positions or politics so much as it does offending His Mango Majesty.

 

If you think it's that clear - that what's happening on the left is merely a plea for nuance and care - well, then, that's what you think.

I think we just see the progressive left differently. I think we see the current incarnation of the Democratic Party differently.
