One party all but denies that it ever happened, or if it did they are not interested in what the research shows unless it fits their narrative.

Unfortunately, that's the GOP of the 2020s. All we hear about is the "evil" of trans athletes, LGBTQ in general, drag shows and library books. All the while gerrymandering districts, denying abortion rights and basic civil rights, to name just a few things.

Policies? Whatever Trump Says. That can be determined by wetting one's finger and seeing which way the wind is blowing.

That means the elephant is dead and cannot reproduce. Unlike humans. 1.4 million more of us consuming energy this week than last week. And another 1.4 million next week.

"Aye, there's the rub!" The elephant keeps getting bigger the more I eat of him.

Long term PR campaigns to shape opinion by billion dollar corporations aren't a huge factor in shaping that, right? How many years and how many millions did the tobacco companies spend fighting against smoking cessation education every inch of the way? Do you think that the energy companies are not defending their profits in exactly the same way for the same profit driven reasons?

    There's still mail, right?
There are still Social Security and Medicare payments, right?

That takes care of 99% of Main Street's concerns.

Does Earth's population really grow by 1.4M every week? Yikes.

I don't know. Don't think it matters. Numbers presented are "population growth," which accounts for everything, I assume.

    Not enough.

This is the politics thread, after all.
