President Biden: The NEW one and only politics thread

Congratulations to noted Democratic voter Alma, who is doubtless celebrating.

 

Democrats in disarray.

 

A few random thoughts:

1. Let’s keep in mind that Biden is in governing mode, not campaign mode. He’s barely held any rallies or made campaign stops. Once he focuses on the election, he’ll be touting his achievements.

2. Nobody except political junkies are following the presidential race right now. Most people, you know, are trying to live their daily lives.

3. Trump’s got a year of criminal trials, and all sorts of other negative BS coming his way,

4. Who knows what the hell the economy is going to be like in a year.

5. Who knows what the hell the foreign wars are going to be like in a year.

6. Keep in mind that millions of elderly people will have died from 2020-2024, especially of COVID. The majority of elderly people were Trump voters. Keep in mind that millions of young people who were ages 14-17 will be able to vote in 2024, and they lean Democratic.

7. Abortion, abortion, abortion.

8. If we learn anything, let’s learn to ignore gossipy media and polls. Not to say that polls cannot be help to a campaign in deciding strategy. But there’s way too much analysis and opinion. Stick to facts. Remember what the first four letters of analysis are. I’ve taken to ignore any article that uses the words “could” or “may” with politics. If it ain’t happened yet, don’t tell me what could happen. I could become King of England. It helps one’s sanity to ignore the chattering. Oh, and ignore cliche media too. (No more diner stories).

9. Who knows if there’ll be another pandemic or other major crisis in a year.

Don't forget, we still have the GOP Gov't Shutdown™ dead ahead. Except this one will be right in the heart of a presidential campaign cycle, not at the midpoint like the last one.

 

Republicans hate critical race theory so much, they went ahead and lost every critical race last night.

 

They will blame Biden for it and the cult will believe them.

 

Isn't the whole point of last night that the cult is not necessarily a majority, in fact is far from it?

 

That dynamic happens EVERY FOUR YEARS and ignores all the former youngs who are now older and turning conservative.

The number of age 65+ eligible voters in 2024 will be the largest in history. And will keep growing until the last set of Boomers turns 65 in about 2029. Do NOT count on "Trump voters are dying off!!" to save you.
