And while I'm on the thread - I don't know how big of a deal sign-stealing is, but if Harbaugh DIDN'T know about it, he needs to be shown the door.

Love the Doyel headline though - like being a "Heisman Voter" is some exclusive club. 870 media members. 870!

Sometimes --- especially when they're agitated, which is often---they talk so fast I miss the joke.

I want to know what effect it had on the info Michigan passed to South Carolina LAST season.

Unless Toledo has beaten every team on its schedule, 94-3, no argument can be made that it deserves a chance to play for a national championship. This is the same problem with basketball; we scream over which 68 teams to
include but make sure No. 318 (Prairie View) is one of them. Illogical any way you look at it.

There will be screaming next year about which "13th" team got left out when the playoffs expand to 12.

    Controversy sells. What-ifs sell.
You lose viewers if you talk about what's already known. You have to start planting seeds that Oregon's one loss is better than Texas' or Alabama's. You might just convince people that Alabama beat Texas or Oregon beat Washington.

As Jerry Seinfeld said: "Men don't care what's on TV, they only care what else is on TV."

This can be applied to almost any facet of life. You can see five women lined up showing cleavage but the sixth, the one hardly showing anything, is really the one you want to see.

And I'd sooner see an unbeaten mid-major than a three-loss team from the Party of Five. I don't know; I've always been that way.

The 12-team format is going to force the committee to do something it hasn't had to do very often in the four-team era: make some hard decisions.

If 12-team playoff were in effect this year.

    12 Tulane at 5 Michigan
    11 Louisville at 6 Oregon
10 Penn State at 7 Texas
    9 Mississippi at 8 Alabama

    Quarterfinals:
Cotton: Mississippi-Alabama vs. 1 Ohio State
    Chick-fil-A: Penn State-Texas vs. 2. Georgia
Orange: Louisville-Oregon vs. 3 Florida State
    Fiesta: Tulane-Michigan vs. 4 Washington

    Semifinals:
    Rose: Cotton vs. Fiesta
    Sugar: Chick-fil-A vs. Orange

No one is advocating including # 318. I'm firm in advocating for Prairie View to have a legit shot if they have the sort of winning season that warrants one, though.
