Gonna guess the Eagles are one of the teams since Bell was a Philly guy and I believe moved the league office there.

Given that, I’ll guess Tommy McDonald scored the touchdown.

And the opponent? Let’s guess the Giants.

Eagles vs. the Steelers, which were the two teams that he owned at one point. He owned the Steelers very briefly in the pre-war 40s before swapping the franchise back with Art Rooney.

I’ll guess Clarence Peaks for the touchdown since Tommy McDonald was already taken.

It was Eagles-Steelers at Franklin Field.

And it was Tommy McDonald catching a pass from Van Brocklin.

Need more coffee to wake up. For a moment, I was all confused lumping "Trading Places" in with Philly. But I guess that guy's last name was Beaks.

During World War 2, NFL franchises merged for one season apiece on three occasions due to the shortage of players. The first time was the Eagles and Steelers. The second time was the Steelers and Cardinals.

Which two teams were combined for the third temporary merger?
