Using the Constitution to undo the Constitution probably doesn't require as much parliamentary trickery as we think it does.

As to whether smaller government is by itself desirable, I'm not sure that's the endgame here.

I'll take a very sloppy democracy over a streamlined, superefficient theocracy every time.
