By that definition, I'd say it's a pretty stupid long-established rule.

Mizzou leading Tennessee 22-7 going into the fourth quarter. Backed up on their own goal line, though.

    Go Tigers!

What a stupid mistake by UW as their DB dropped the ball to celebrate a pick-6 before he actually crossed the goal line.

And then the Huskies get a safety, but we’ll see if two points vs. seven comes back to haunt them.

UW ahead 35-28 after three quarters.

After the guy returns it 70 yards and fumbles it on the 2-yard line, Washington then gets a safety on the next play. Why do a pick-six and have to kick off when you can fumble it on your own 2, get two points and then the ball.

The director needs to listen to the announcers. They were all over it live, knew it was a fumble and a live ball, and the director was so busy showing the celebration and flying in the "touchdown" graphics that we missed all of it live.

And while I'm here.... if I have the ball on my own 1 yard line, I'm not call a play that has me handing off to my running back four yards deep in the end zone. Jesus. Here, have two points.

Iowa boots a short FG with six minutes left to go up 15-0 vs. Rutgers … cah-Ching!!

Look, no one is more critical of Iowa’s horrible offense than me. But considering how Rutgers competed against Ohio State, and seeing how Northwestern is beating the Badgers by three touchdowns in Madison, the Hawkeye defense is legitimately one of the best in the country.

Weird sequence in Seattle, but glad they got the react from the DB when he realized what he did. I've rewatched that play Utah ran in the endzone, and I can't figure out where the hole was supposed to be. The blocking wasn't good. Better to use a few extra lineman and go heavy for a few yards instead of trying to block a DE with a receiver.

Says someone who didn't have Washington plus 8.5. hahaha. Looks like the dogs should cover though in any event. Oh it will be brutal if they get the first down but choose to take a knee.

And that’s the final. Tigers now 8-2 with just Florida and Arkansas left. Then a good bowl game.
