2023-24 Running NBA thread

My god, the Sixers' floor for this "tournament" game is garish. All red except for a blue stripe down the middle. It's horrendous.

 

All tournament floors are like that. Every Tuesday and Friday in November.

 

Yeah, I'm seeing the same in the Clippers' game. Horrendous.

 

I think the floors look great.

I think Draymond and Klay getting booted before anyone had even a point is ridiculous. The fact Rudy Covid wasn’t sent packing is criminal.

 

I've seen hockey players get into fights within seconds of the puck dropping, but this is crazy.

 

God Bob Fitzgerald is such a homer.

 

I’m with you - as a special event kind of thing, I love the floors. The red ones are a bit much, but that’s ok.

 

Thanks to YouTube TV’s 4-plex, I’ve watched a lot of the NBA Cup games and they are noticeably more competitive and entertaining.

 

Klay and McDaniels shouldn't have been tossed. No reason to toss Rudy (he had him in a headlock? Only the Warriors announcers, whom Tommy Heinsohn's ghost thinks are a bit much with the homerism, would say that since the other angle clearly showed him only starting to grab Klay before getting choked out). Draymond was rightfully gone and should get a few more games added on. And as Gobert said in the postgame, with Steph out it was almost predictable that Draymond would look for any excuse to get ejected. A complete front-runner. But hey, should make for a good podcast.

 

Draymond won’t be able to get tossed now that he’ll be suspended a few games.

 

A headlock? LOL. Oh, for the good ole' days when Calvin Murphy howitzered Sidney Green.
