I thought Texas tries to fine business that us renewables instead of good old Lone Star crude.

 

Nothing like having the power grid crash a couple of times when it's freezing ass cold (or 100 degrees) to alter the dynamic.

This guy did it on camera? WTF?

 

Yeah, I just watched the video of it and it's pretty crazy. Dude starts by pulling aside some of the obstacles, then is there calmly talking to a few protestors. Then he just pulls the gun up and shoots one of them like it was nothing. When the cops show up, he's arrested without incident.
Even weirder is that after he shoots the two guys (one drops immediately, the other died on the way to the hospital), the other protestors don't scatter or go for cover. They just walk away slowly, like the guy just let out a giant fart.
