The problem is that Hamas has shown -- first-hand and in no uncertain terms, recently -- that Israelis are not secure, as long as it is around. Hence, the revenge. But the revenge is being taken, and is necessary, for security purposes. I'm sure that's how the Israeli government looks at it.

I don't know how all this is ever going to end, short of one side or the other being wiped out, that is.

 

Well I mean come on. This country has learned over the last 22 years that if you kill enough terrorists, eventually you’ll win the war on terror.
