Huh? They’re an enormous part of the coalition. I don’t care who the opponent is, that need is always there and has to be respected.

 

Of all the R's in the race she's the most reasonable and experienced. Low bar to clear, but still, I'd rather see her win than anyone else they're offering.

Cool. Respect it by governing best for them and pointing out how the other side governs against their interests. Much harder to do than putting the right skin tone in the VP seat, but . . .

 

Desantis has proven to be what trump should be viewed as: a reviled, unrepentant, unlikeable asshole.

To steal from the past, his whole campaign is “noun, verb, woke.”

It’s been enjoyable to watch him fail and flail.

 

Why? It's a core D voter group, same as people who dislike people of color are for the R's.

 

I largely agree. But representation at all levels, especially high levels, is extremely important, no?
