Another question - since players in college are getting paid now, its ok to criticize them right? Since they are more or less professionals? Wasn't that the argument against criticizing college players before, because they were "amateurs?"

I think the argument is "These kids are 19 and 20 -- maybe don't be an asshole."

 

They're "kids" when they get in trouble for grades, theft, rape, assault, public intox or having a terrible game, and the coach and ballwashing fanbois want to yell at anyone being "negative."

They're "young men" when they win a game, come back to win, play hard or otherwise need to be praised by the coach and fanbois.

 

32k is fairly substantial for Twitter for someone in that role.

I’ve found once a person cracks 10k, that usually means they have some follows that are “out-of-market”. Most likely a bunch of selfies in tight clothing unless they’re a source of scoops or they constantly break relevant stories.

 

Romi deserves a ton of criticism for being an unabashed homer who is pulling for the teams in the local market. But there's no need to be misogynistic in doing so.
