Which is sad. He finally molds a defense to his liking. Gets a quarterback who knows what he is doing. He had a path to the playoffs this year. And it all goes to hell.

BTW, when will the league decide that it's a tremendously bad look to keep seeing non-contact leg injuries and force teams to ditch turf fields?

    Kirk Ferentz to the Jets.

He seems like a really good guy and was saddled with Zach. But the team has had just a disaster on offense for 3 years running and there haven’t been adjustments.

When there's a significant drop in ratings and revenue? So likely never?

Amazon paying for a Stones song as intro music and a Garth Brooks concert after the game. I guess they are making enough from the Webster family.

The Jets' Hell Mary keeps getting better and better.

The adjustment was trading for Rodgers. The mistake was trusting Wilson as his backup.

I don't have a dog in the Jets hunt. I enjoy their various weekly fates vicariously through others.

But in my opinion Saleh should get a pass this year after losing Rodgers. Go get another QB in 2024 and if he stays healthy and they still fail, pull the ripcord then.

I'm confused on what the Jets were supposed to do at QB once Rodgers goes down? It's not like there are a ton of high-end starters available in Week 1. And even if there were, they had so much invested in Rodgers that they couldn't exactly grab them. They're paying him a lot of money, they spent their best draft capital to get him, and if you assume Rodgers is coming back next season then you can't make any sort of commitment to somebody beyond this season.
There might have been a hot second when Kirk Cousins made sense. Josh Dobbs wouldn't have been a terrible option. But failing that, they were in a ride-or-die situation with Zach Wilson, who might be a decent back-up you can roll with for a few games but is obviously not the guy you want to entrust your entire season to. They'd already made that evaluation and their dice roll that they wouldn't need him for 17 games came up snake eyes.
It's a shitburger they've got to eat, sure, but what else could they have done?

If Rodgers (who turns 40 on Dec. 2) comes back from his Achilles, starts all 17 and leads the Jets to the playoffs next year, it will be a medical marvel.

I might be like Victor Kiam and buy ALL the CBD companies.

Dobbs would have been a much better option. They had this delusion that sitting behind Rodgers for a year or two would somehow fix Wilson, so they stuck with him rather than attempt to sign a viable backup in the offseason. Then they signed Boyle to be their No. 3 because he and Rodgers are buddies.
