    The KSHSAA is moving up the start times of all the state championship games west of the Kansas Turnpike Saturday to try and beat the worst of the expected storms. That affects six of the nine games: 6-Man, both 8-Man games, and Classes 3A, 2A and 1A.

    6A is in Emporia 5A in Pittsburg and 4A in Topeka and all of them will still kick off at 1 p.m.

    8-Man's championship games are played as a doubleheader in Newton, so now one of them will kick off at 10 a.m.

    I can’t begin to describe how much I hate this time of year. I’ve had two lengthy naps today. It’s 6 pm, and my mind/body is ready for bed.

    Ended up with about 3 inches of snow and the storm cleared out this morning. 19 at kickoff for the 5A semifinal I worked as the play clock operator and the sun made a late appearance.
