    Anderson and Roane counties are a notorious cancer cluster. We don’t talk enough about what the OG science workers of the nuclear age sacrificed, not to mention their families.

    There are 96 counties in Tennessee. Those two rank 61st and 63rd, respectively, with respect to the age-adjusted cancer rate (Anderson's rate per 100,000 is 457; Roane's is 456.3).
