Police brutality has been a popular talking point among the MAGAs lately.
They’ve shown videos of cops pushing old people down stairs and other terrorists off ledges. They say every was peaceful until the cops fired tear gas and flash bangs into the crowd. Those things don’t make people more aggressive.

    Irony is dead.

Sen. Ted Cruz, legally named Rafael Edward Cruz, has introduced a bill in the U.S. Senate titled the Safeguarding Honest Speech Act. The legislation proposes prohibiting federal funds from enforcing policies requiring federal employees to use preferred pronouns or names other than an individual’s legal name.

    You’re half-right — he’ll win by more.

Only as political pawns. It’s a key point of the GOP rules for “winning.”

I want to be certain about this, but I’m not so certain about this.

Yes, I know, 2016 was a different race, etc.
But that scar ain’t going away.

I know a lot of Republicans. Not one of them actively claims to be a Trump supporter anymore. I’m not sure if they’d sit out the election or hold their nose and vote for him anyway, but at least among the people I personally know, none of them is defending or openly supporting Trump.

Trump got 75 million votes in 2020, the second-most in history. (Biden got 82 million, the first-most, in the same election, but that's neither here nor there.)

The point is, Trump's electorate shrinks with each passing year. About 13 million Americans alive in 2020 will have passed away by Election Day, most of which are old people and most of which would have pulled the lever for Trump. At the same time, the demographics continue to grow for the Democrats: people of color, young college graduates, Cali diaspora, etc. And throw in a group of women motivated by Dobbs who are 51% of voters and I see a pretty favorable map.

    I ain't skeered.

If Taylor Swift posts on social media to register and vote straight D before the election, it's game, set, match.
I think I know maybe two Taylor Swift songs and ain't interested in learning any more, but if she'll do that for us, I'll be forever in her debt.

I hope you’re right. But today’s Fox News viewers were yesterday’s Flower Children. Every day that a Trumpist dies, he gets replaced by another aggrieved middle-aged white guy from Anniston or Akron or Zebulon or Zanesville.
