It sounds like the only reason Republicans finally agreed to oust Santos was that he stole from one of them.

There were reports Friday morning that Santos might survive, but in a letter to his colleagues, Ohio Republican Rep. Max Miller claimed that Santos had defrauded both Miller and his mother by charging campaign contributions to their personal credit cards. Rep. David Joyce told CNN that Miller’s message resulted in some GOP members voting against Santos.

If they can give Charles Barkley a news show, why not Screaming A?

Ron Meatball's twisted fake smile was grotesque to watch.
At one point Hannity said something like "let's all take a breath" - and it was like giving Meatball a standing eight count.

It is interesting the House GOP leadership all voted to keep him. It is a nice surprise the Republicans finally did the right thing here.

Rosalynn Carter, Kissinger and now Sandra Day O'Connor. That would be an interesting dinner group.

Did not see its debut, but did the program carry much news?

Not as many as there used to be. You can see the impact the pill and Roe had on the rate - and the slight spike thanks to Dobbs.

More evidence for the Rule of Threes (that an ever-expanding number will frequently be divisible by three).

Very much "on brand" for the GOP. They don't care about something unless or until it happens to them or a loved one. I've seen it too many times to count. A sudden "ok-ness" with gay marriage when a daughter or nephew comes out, a sudden support for funding for a disease a loved one has been diagnosed with. I don't think they are "haters," they just lack the capacity to imagine any life experience that doesn't coincide with their own.

    See Tennessee, governor of:
COVID was a hoax until his wife got it.
School shootings were something we just had to live with until his wife's best friend was gunned down.

I can think of a certain board Russophile who fits that description.
