This sounds like a more interesting topic than why Alabama should squeeze FSU.

TCU’s case has already been brought up. I suppose fans of undefeated and mythical national champion UCF would chime in.

Didn’t OU and Nebraska both make a BCS appearance despite losing the Big 8/12 championship.

LSU 2011 got screwed by an Oklahoma St loss.

    Who else?

I wanna know if it is going to be like this next year and we just count zeros in the second column to sort everybody before looking at any actual body of work. My hope is that it will be less emotional when there isn’t a name-brand conference forced to sit out and we can get a more intelligent approach.

And once again just for the record, yes I agree Bama should be left out of this year’s playoff.

I won't be surprised by anything the committee does, but if they exclude Florida State, they might as well have Vince McMahon make the announcement.
PS: Dixie, the seeds of today were set long ago when the setup was formed of a four team playoff with five power conferences deemed as equals in the arrangement. One conference was gonna get left out each year. For many years, that was the Pac-12 and/or Big 12 or ACC and all was well. But through the laws of probability, the SEC is on the hot seat this morning. It's up against the system's fatal flaw.

If they exclude Florida State everyone who paid to watch that game should ask for a refund.

I look forward to this time next year when we have a 12 team playoff. You can take it to the bank Mizzou will be ranked 13th

As of yesterday. and since none of them played I don't see how this changes much, teams 11-14 were Ole Miss, Oklahoma, LSU and Arizona. As the track saying goes, throw a blanket over 'em. Plenty of fertile ground for bitter arguments there.

I was at the IU game Friday night where the new coach came out. Yes, saying "Purdue sucks" will endear you to the fans quickly.

During every timeout they were pushing football tickets on the big screens. Strike while it's hot. I'm even thinking about buying football tickets ... because at IU that gives you a huge boost for your basketball tickets.
