SNL's Continued Downward Spiral Thread

I got more of a kick out of Sarah Sherman as Wolf Blitzer.

 

Emma Stone. A 6. On a cheese cracker.

Two women with a DYI show and talking posters, the writers reaching way back for ideas.
And they both mostly worked.

 

The posters sketch is a go-to for when Emma Stone hosts, they've done it with her since like 2016

It's her version of a Mullaney montage of musicals, Timberlake's bring it on down to wherever, Jonah Hill doing this six-year old at Benihana.

 

That show started off great and petered out. Not much at all outside of Update in the last hour.

 

Michael Longfellow was gold on Update.

 

The cigarette bit on Update was fantastic. But yeah, show was pretty top-heavy as noted.

 

I thought the game show sketch was a little too odd and not relevant to any news or other issue to be so early in the show. Didn't bode well for what was coming.

 

It was legit funny though. My daughter was still up and thought the continual tortoise bet was hilarious. But yeah, to nudge that to, what, the second segment was definitely telling.

 

Michael Longfellow again in that sketch.

 

The guy's had a relatively slow first season and a half, but he did come up big last night. The cigarette bit was the best moment of the night.
