Is Florida State better than Alabama or Texas?

I wonder how close the Bama-vs.-FSU vote was.

I have less of a problem with a top-13 team getting screwed than I do with a top-five team getting screwed.

    What does that mean, better?

That Iron Bowl squeak past Auburn was just a week ago. Your memory that bad?

Would Florida State beat Alabama or Texas? It's a simple yes or no question.

Well, that has been my argument for decades in favor of a 16-team playoff.

That's not what you asked. "Better" is a non-sequitur and we can never know who'd win on the field unless they play the game.

    OK. I'm rephrasing my question.

Would Florida State beat either Alabama or Georgia?

The big rivalry game where THEY OVERCAME ADVERSITY? I remember.

Florida State, as it's currently constituted, would be a 10+ point underdog to each of the 4 (and Georgia and Ohio State).
