In their last order of business before adjourning, the College Football Playoff Committee retroactively awarded the 1983 NCAA basketball championship to Houston and the 1985 title to Georgetown.

"We felt it was time to rectify those obvious travesties. North Carolina State and Villanova clearly did not pass the eye test and the results on the court were therefore meaningless."

There's no denying the Swofford Bowl was a slog to watch.

Still, barring something really odd, Florida State would have had everyone back except for Travis in time for the bowl game.

But please ... grease the skids for Alabama ...

For everyone arguing for Florida State……if you put them in, who do you leave out?

Don't forget to hand the 1991 title to Nevada-Las Vegas. The eye test says they never lose to Duke in the national semis.

Florida State wins its bowl game, especially if the final is Texas-Bama, better claim it is the 2023 national champ until the end of time, the hell what anybody else says

Yeah. Corrigan says Michigan's players "taking ownership" and winning six games without their coach was a key factor in ranking them No. 1. But Florida State's players "taking ownership" and winning two games with a backup QB, including a hated in-state rival and a conference championship over an excellent opponent, is a negative.

Bama. They didn't beat any good teams and only were ranked high to begin with because of ESPN.

And just beat the number 1 team in the country, which resides 1 hour from campus.
