Should have taken some J-school classes during his stop at The Central Michigan University.

Can you imagine if Mike Gundy had been an Aggie, both past and present? That is entirely too much crazy.

A few other notes on the bowl schedule:

    1. Pour one out for Tampa-area bartenders. Wisconsin-LSU is gonna drain Tampa dry. On second thought, don't, they'll need the liquor.
    2. Cal in Shreveport sounds like a fun time.
    3. Eastern Michigan playing a true road game in Mobile in the quizzically named 68 Ventures Bowl. You think they'd have enough for one more venture for the joke.
    4. No one should watch a 5-7 Minnesota team against BG in Detroit, but it is kind of funny because an early nonconference loss to Bowling Green in 2022 marked the first time the Gopher fanbase turned on Peej.
    5. We now have a 50/50 chance of watching someone dump mayo on Mack Brown.
    6. I see that the Texas Bowl doesn't have a sponsor. Given those fanbases, maybe MyPillow should jump in. Still more legitimate than whatever "68 Ventures" is.
    7. Clemson, the Gator Bowl and crazy coaches always go together so I hope Tyler From Spartanburg can make the trip.

Too bad he couldn't get down to Tallahassee before the weekend ended.

And Alabama would go to the Sugar Bowl with ZERO chance of winning the title.

I really miss the old way.

Following C.J. Stroud didn’t help Honda McCord any.

Not for nothing, but I'm kind of pumped for Tech's Military Bowl game against Tulane. Old Metro Conference vibes...

Have to laugh that Oregon - a state know for leading the nation in the "unchurched" drew Liberty vs. the Ducks and Notre Dame for Oregon State. The Beavs/Irish game will be the third time they've men in bowls, and the Beavs have won handily each time. Who knows how things will shake out this year across the bowls with players in the portal or sitting out for the draft - could be multiple walkons starting for teams.

I'm a Gopher fan and alum and even I probably won't watch the Quick Lane Bowl, so I certainly understand how some bowl games become objects of derision. But I have never really understood the spittle-flecked rage some go into about the proliferation of bowls. Last I checked we do not live in a police state where anybody is forced at gunpoint to watch a lousy bowl game.

Yeah, but Notre Dame kicks ass when they've women in bowls. :)
