    Charlie lost his voice after surgery and had retired from singing a few years ago, but had started doing occasional shows again. Tragic loss. Fifty-nine is too fucking young.

    Hold Steady used Pogues as their intro and outro music during last Thursday's show. Nice tribute.

    Probably their best song of the post-Shane era. Just a great record.

    I saw the Pogues twice, both times with Shane, and it was as chaotic and awesome as you'd think.
