Seeing rumors that Florida State could make a travesty of the Orange Bowl by either having players sit out or by basically not competing.

Not sure if it would accomplish anything but would be a big middle finger to the selection process, I guess.

 

Wonder if the CFP could withhold payment if a lack of effort was clearly obvious.

Then again, it wouldn't be any different than the Pro Bowl.

 

Yes. Florida State already not getting CFP final four money. Not sure of breakdown but I can't imagine their ACC brethren would be too happy also having additional money withheld.

The above rumor was clearly not started by a psych major. Both teams have every motivation to enter the game seriously pissed off at the whole world.
