It's kinda crazy that the reigning Heisman winner couldn't crack the top 10 and that more people thought Missouri's running back and a QB with 1,000 fewer yards and 19 fewer TDs accounted fore were more deserving.

On one side of the ball. Not the defensive side.

Four Pac-12 teams were among the 25 worst Div. I defenses. Only three teams among all the other Power 5 conferences ranked in the bottom 25.

Four Big Ten defenses ranked in the top 5. You have to go down to the mid-30s to find a fourth Pac-12 defense.

Pac-12 defenses didn't get a day off against Iowa or Minnesota. The quality of Pac-12 QBs this season was off the charts.

Again, there's no denying the Pac-12 had a lot of offensive explosiveness up and down the conference.

But there's also no denying that it was a lot of Pac-12 defense helping that along. USC could not have stopped a crippled duck.

Yep,. And Penix was the best player. Nix didn't get jobbed out of shit. ESPN gave him the Heisman and put Oregon in the playoff in early November and yet the Ducks did the same thing against Washington a second time...because the best team and the best player was on the other side of the field.

Submitted my various bowl pool picks. I don't know how Vegas is keeping track of the player movement, line movement or what. Though I'm sure the sharps are able to spot lines that haven't kept up on the news or missing an obvious angle. Might as well go to the beach and bet over/unders on wave height.

College football lost its way when they stopped having circus performances at halftime of bowl games.
