Time to start developing draft strategies. My keepers this year are Herbert, Waddle and Garrett Wilson, so my top priority with my No. 1 is RB.

I'm drafting third, so I know I'm not getting CMC, and I believe Ekeler is someone's keeper. Not sure if I should jump on Bijan, risk injury with Saquon, grab another back (Henry?) or just load up on WRs and take the top pass catcher available. Who are you thinking will be the top 5 RBs off the board?

So, I have a question about waiver claims for ESPN leagues.

My team sucks so far this year, and I’m looking to claim three guys off waivers this week. Call them Player A, Player B and Player C.

As my team sucks, I’m near the top in the waiver priority. I know the rules are that the team with the highest priority gets first dibs, and that if they want to claim multiple players, they go back to the end of the line and hope nobody else wants the other guys.

But, assuming the teams ahead of me on the list do not grab Player A, how do I guarantee that I get Player A during my first go-around on the list and not Player B or C? In my ESPN league, I can’t find a way to prioritize which player I can get first.

    Any ideas?

ADD: Never mind. I finally figured it out. I had to log out of the app and use ESPN’s web site. Which has my waiver priorities in order.

Didn’t get any traction with this, but we’re at a crucial time now. My dilemma: I’ve got Tua up against a Jets defense that mauled him a couple weeks ago, or Russ against a suspect Lions defense. Russ is a steady 15-18 point scorer. Tua could score 8 or 28. Thoughts?

    Depends. Is Tyreek gonna play?

Good question. He didn’t practice all week, so he may be hobbled even if he does play. Fortunately, they’re in the 1 pm window, so I’ll know sooner than later whether he’s playing.
