Don't know jack or squat about either of the guests coming out of the new year.

Apparently, the musical guest plays Regina George in the upcoming Mean Girls film based on the musical based on the film.

Maybe I'm just spoiled by years past (Jimmy Fallon, Martin Short come to mind), but I've come to expect the last SNL before Christmas to be a big deal, but tonight has been really pedestrian, especially with the expectations around Kate coming back.

Sarah Sherman/Pongo and the Update joke exchange have been my only highlights so far. Only chuckle I've really gotten out of Kate was the ABBA sketch, and that was mainly for the others cracking.

Really? I think it's been great. The joke exchange was out of this world. "She marched with King!"

I want a supercut of the joke swaps. That might have been the tops.

    “She marched with King!”

"A national shortage of skanks" earlier was also fantastic.

I was going to say a little short of a 6 for me - kind of like Sarah Paulson adjacent... But looking it up right now, heck, Wiig is 50?!?

Yeah, she was discovered pretty late. Pretty sure she was well into her 30s when she got on SNL.

The old lady they brought out, was she legit on SNL back in the day? Couldn't find her on the SNL Archives site, or any basic search.

I wish a site on which people can post video existed and someone or someones posted clips of the joke swaps.
