It was a pleasure to go to school there at that time and just go have a beer with lunch, or a Hurricane at Pat O's, or whatever without having to sneak around. There was less of the mindless binge drinking and not one person ended up in the emergency room from it that I saw. Some college presidents in recent years have actually called for the drinking age to be lowered, to reduce the chaos.
