Dave is a good guy but when you think Bill Ballou has made a good point, it's time to log off and re-evaluate some things.

It was a guy in Colorado bitching that any voter who didn't vote for Todd Helton should be thrown out of the Baseball Writers, or executed, or some similar expression of his completely rational anger.

    A pre-Christmas look:

Through 36 ballots (9.9 percent of last year's total

    97.4 percent Beltre
81.4 percent Helton (missed by 11 votes, 0 flips)
    76.3 percent Mauer
68.4 percent Sheffield (getting final year bump with 4 flips already but needs 78
63.2 percent Jones / Wagner (missed by 27 votes, 3 flips)
    60.5 percent Beltran
    55.3 percent Utley
    44.7 percent Manny
    42.1 percent A-Rod
No one else over 24 percent

David Wright has three votes, Bartolo Colon has one

Blocking all the BBWAA members on Twitter who didn't vote for Rockies 1B Todd Helton for the MLB HOF. If they don't vote for him this time, then their opinions on all things sports are without merit and their credentials as journalists should be revoked.
