Commercials we love

This Michelob Ultra commercial is driving me nuts. Maybe there's a story they're telling across several ads that make this make sense, but otherwise it is incredibly stupid.

Nobody is toting four full glasses of beer across an entire golf course. In fact, that might get you tossed out of a lot of places. Nor would anybody want to deal with a sloshing glass of beer while trying to navigate a golf course, no matter how lightly you're taking the round. They're selling cans. People are drinking from cans. I'm not even sure they're pouring mugs in the bar. Glasses are impractical.

 

Lighten up, Francis. It's a commercial. How often do those actually reflect reality?

 

And if I'm paying $9 (or more) for a beer at a golf course, you better not frigging short-pour me like that.

 

It's like they're ripping off the better Bud Light commercial. (And searching for it on Google brings up that the actress is the daughter of a former NFL head coach, which is fun, since it was a Super Bowl commercial.)

It all comes down to one word: Bundle home and auto

Not if you bundle them.

 

I just noticed the Travolta/Santa Night Fever ad also features Donna Pescow - who still looks great. And Travolta still has the moves.
