Beal has played three games so far. He's due $50 million next season, $50.6 million in 25-26 and has a $57 million player option 26-27.

Eh... they look awful right now, but they'll probably get it together at some point. They've had, what, one game with the big three playing together? If they all get healthy -- and yeah, that's a giant "if" -- I think they'll be OK. But yeah, right now things are a mess.

I'd make the KD trade again. Mikal Bridges is a nice player. Cam Johnson is fine and easily replaceable. The four first-round picks spare me the frustration of watching James Jones fuck them up on draft day. Meanwhile KD had been great this year.

One thought that keeps returning: The Suns of the last few years were talented but flawed and showed no heart at all. A pressure game meant they were losing by 40. They rebuilt the team by keeping Devin Booker and getting rid of literally everybody else. They still have no heart. So... what if "everybody else" wasn't the problem?

The heart was CP3; at least that’s this Ws’ fans POV. He’s an a**hole, but now the Ws’ a**hole.

Pistons within theoretical range of the Nets with 0:38 left. BKN up 5. Cunningham going off with 39-10-5.
Nets now up 117-110 with 28.5 after a pair of FT.

In the current age of analytics, if you don't believe your team has a "realistic" chance at the championship (ie, among the top 6-8 teams in the league), the first instinct is to say "fuck it" and tank.

And to think they were 2-1 with wins by 12 and 16 after a 1-point loss to Miami and people were probably like, okay maybe there’s something here

One person's "tank" is another person's "Let's play the young guys and see what we got and flip who we can flip for someone who can help us next year and beyond."

What do you do with the Pistons? They just hired Monty Williams. Anyone know what the problem is other than general suckinees? Has the streak reached the point where teams play extra hard against them because they don't want to be the one they break the streak against - particularly the mediocre teams who need every win they can get.
