    Even if the pass was caught, there was a pretty decent or better chance it would have been out of bounds.

    On a last play score-or-lose situation, you gotta throw a ball inside the field of play.

    The replay from the spider cam made it look like nobody else (or at least the two guys running down the middle toward the end zone on the left side of the formation) was open. At least the guy he threw to was in one-on-one coverage and had a chance at it if the DB didn't make a good play, which the DB did.
