New York has the same problem. The current idea is monetary incentives for communities to build more housing. Tentatively some early takers on the idea. But the NIMBY is strong. Looking at you, Long Island.

Wisconsin came so close to getting rid of this awful piece of shit. The Senate would've been a much better place without that prick fuck.

I think many Republican members of Congress realize they will be losing the majority in November. Don't know about the Senate, it's a difficult map for the Dems, defending everywhere with limited chance for a flip. For all the vitriol, Boebert changing districts, other Reps. retiring or stepping down - they are voting with their feet.

Forget about November. At this rate of retirements, they'll lose the majority by April.

Ron Johnson saying out loud what anyone paying attention already knows. The trumplicans don't want a solution to the immigration issue. They want the issue to campaign on. They'll fight any attempt to fix it. And if they somehow regain power, they'll ignore it. Until they're out of power. And then they'll again just bitch and moan and fight any solutions.

They don't have much left to campaign on since Dobbs. And it sure as fuck isn't the party of small government or national security any more.

Gov. Hochul had a good start with a housing mandate bill that LI NIMBYs blocked.
