    I don't think it is a time issue. I think it's a Joe Biden issue.

    The way I see it, it's set already, Trump vs. Biden. Anyone sane finds that a depressing choice.

    There are two things I can think of that can change that: 1) Trump doesn't get the nomination because as things unfold in his trials and the crazy train gains a head of steam, primary voters sober up. 2) We get a third-party option -- that "no labels" thing or otherwise.

    Neither one of those are all that good for Joe Biden. The only chance he has of winning is if he is running mono-a-mano against Donald Trump, because well, Joe Biden is not Donald Trump. And as I said, I don't think that is going to be enough this time. Against anyone else. ... he's Joe Biden.
