    The people budgeting for national championship tickets don’t have everything riding on snagging a Wanna Get Away fare from SWA.

    They most certainly do in trying to mitigate what they are having to spend on tickets

    Yes but that falls into its own category by the NCAA. It's not like a freshman and a sophomore deep on a depth chart going -- oh I won't see the field until I'm a junior? I'll just redshirt and have four years still to use once I become a starter.

    And more to the point, they don’t hang around campus to get a few reps in between door knocks.

    American Airlines added on very short notice a flight from Greenville-Spartanburg to somewhere in the Bay area for that Clemson-Alabama IV matchup in January of 2019. The bitching among my Facebook acquaintances re: the fares was comical.

    Looks like the 85-scholarship limit is still in effect, but the 25-per-year limit (that had been waived for a few years) is simply no more.
