Can we stop with the Harvard shit? Does anyone really truly give a flying fuck about who is/was the president of Harvard or why he or she is hired or fired?

 

Well, when they're fired pretty much exclusively for the reason of being a black female ...

The real money and brains people behind this push never have degrees from places like Frostburg State or Nebraska-Kearney. It’s elites continuing campus feuds a generation or two later.

 

I thought Welker was going to be better than Todd when she got the chair.

What the University of Colorado Board of Regents is to hire a President who has run for elective office. The idea is that this guy will work with the state legislature and handle toe external affairs Then people with strong academic backgrounds are hired to run the three campuses and the Medical Center. At one point the office of the president was moved from the Boulder campus to Denver to emphasize this delineation. I am not for sure if this is still true but it seems for example, that the Boulder Chancellor is calling the shots on issues like conference realignment.

This policy was started after the fiasco of the alleged rape cases from the football team about 20 years ago. The University had an academic as president and she was not getting along at all with the Republican governor at the time.

It seems to work pretty well.

I get tickled when Ivies start griping about the elites. Tom Cotton still talks about Beltway Insiders, even though that SOB hasn’t lived in Arkansas in years and years.
