    All right, chillun, I bring you here the true quill. Willie Nelson and Family doing the Austin City Limits pilot show in 1974. His sister Bobbie on the piano, Jody Payne on the lead guitar and vocals, and Willie's great friend Paul English on the drums are all gone now, and the hole in Trigger's top is maybe a third as large then as it is now. Great show, Willie in his prime and the top of his powers.

    ACL reran this show during the pandemic along with some of other stops there over the years. Just great stuff.

    Willie did the Red Headed Stranger album on ACL. That one's flat amazing.
