Oh……you’re right. You’re definitely feeling it at the end. I like to get it shoveled right after the snow. If you let it get heavy and wet, it’s a whole bunch worse.

    See chefs colonoscopy thread.
Me and anesthesiologist were talking. She says “I hear there are some good breweries here in town.”
    “Yes…..there are a couple good br…….”

The last thing my nurse said after the anesthesiologist put in the drugs was “You are muscular. I can’t get the blood pressure monitor around your biceps.”

My final thoughts — possibly my final thoughts ever— were, “Is this nurse going to try something while I’m under like [CROSSTHREAD] Tim Whatley on Seinfeld?”

According to my best friend, I uttered the following non sequitur under anesthesia:

“Dad said the best time he ever had was in the back of a Studebaker.”

If you're slightly in shape, have good core muscles, and do it right, shoveling snow can be a workout that you can feel good afterwards. If not, good luck.

They just say "scattered" showers now. If you got some, cool. If you didn't, they were "scattered" somewhere else.

For my birthday a few years back, my wife got me (us) a plow service, so that I'd have more birthdays. Now I only shovel if there's not enough snow for the service to bother, like an inch or two.

18 degrees here in the Willamette Valley. I went to work and it was dead - not enough people showed up to operate - so we were cut loose and paid for the full shift. On way home I stopped to buy a scraper (could have sworn I had at least one in the car) - they were sold out at the gas station. So cold that the defrost could only clear the bottom half of the windshield. Tried to start the car back up and it wouldn't turn over. Friend picked me up - occasional power outages all night. Light snow over hard-packed ice.

I'll take 18 right now. Minus 7 this morning. Currently minus 4.

It’s -8 here right now, headed for a high of 1. One! Fuck this.

Feels like negative 23 here. Glad I don’t have a dog I need to walk right now.
