Nexstar will give you a 1% raise but they usually don’t farm out a newscast to another market. :)

No, but they will fuck over their employees every chance they get.

I wonder why Bezos did not buy the Maryland papers. I don't think Smith paid that much. If Bezos combined the Post and the Sun he would certainly improve the Sun's editorial product while at basically no cost simply by eliminating duplicate staff, I also suspect that the Washington Post is better at selling digital ads than the Sun and they could bump up electronic revenues.

Or they’ll drop the salary range 20k between the Zoom interview and when they’re about to fly you out for the second interview. Happened to me last month.

Yeah, F Nexstar. Just got called out last week for advertising a job here that doesn't meet minimum wage.

It’s a shame this happened after the guy who wanted to buy the Sun ended up launching the Baltimore Banner.

I’ve said it before, but when my station was perpetually rumored to be for sale, my greatest fear - like, losing sleep fear - was that Sinclair would buy us. I was thrilled when they bought the regional sports nets because it meant they had blown their cash.

People at the Baltimore Sun need to get out now.

Yeah, the executive chairman of Sinclair bought it.

Think maybe he might have influence over how Sinclair operates?
