To be serious, while as an owner I don't think I'd hire Belichick as a head coach, an interview with him could be a very valuable way of getting an accurate summary of my team's problems and possible solutions to same. In other words, I'd use him like McKinsey or Boston Consulting Group.

    1. Not a Patriots fan.
    2. If you're hiring Belichick it's like for 2-4 seasons tops, just due to his age. An owner with a team that's looking for a new coach almost always has more problems than 2-4 seasons can solve.

But how many GET more than 2-4 seasons once they're hired?

Hell, we're one season away from booting the Eagles coach, who has three years there.

I don’t care if I toss you the keys to an 0-17 team that traded its first rounder. After four years, the team should be in substantially better shape or there is no reason to keep you.

How many rings do you think Belichick wore to the interview? Really the only question you have to ask is if he's cool with not having roster control.

As long as you have competent management. Tough to judge anyone coaching the Panthers.

    Precisely.
I don’t care if Belichick shows up drunk to the interview.
The interview should be……”Bill……would you like the job?”
